{February 17, 2009}   Thoughts may affect us

At today’s welcome meeting, the head of the English Department at school introduced us to the marvelous world of Dr. Masaru Emoto. He has been doing some research on the effect of positive and negative thoughts on water, stating that “human thoughts are directed at water before it is frozen, images of the resulting water crystals will be beautiful or ugly depending upon whether the thoughts were positive or negative.”

I’m sharing here the video Lucrecia brought to school today, hoping that you also love it!

Hi Dora;
I saw your link & came over to visit. Love this post. I have read about & happen to believe a lot of Dr. Emoto’s work/discussion. I try to keep up with a ‘branch’ of spirituality that uses his thesis as their foundation for the belief in the ‘one-ness’ of the universe. Some have actually built the trappings of a religion based on it (think Universal Life, Unitarians, etc.) it is also very close to the philosophy behind Rudolph Steiner’s Work and the Waldorf schools (see Early Childhood Education theory). And it pretty much sums up my approach to teaching children; “always give them the skills & opportunity to do or be their best self” From my experience if you do that; they will often surprise you with their knowledge, ability and curiosity to learn more. Later, Talula.
